Martin has a master’s degree in Bioinformatics Engineering from Uppsala University, as well as a PhD in Bioinformatics from the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU). He did his PhD in association with the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI) in Nairobi, Kenya - with a focus on genomics of livestock parasites. Martin started with NBIS working in the NBIS genome assembly group, but moved on to the systems development group where he’s been working mainly with web systems development and python development.
