Markus received his PhD in bioinformatics studying somatic mutations in cancer at Uppsala University 2015. He then went on to do a post doc at Karolinska Institutet, where he worked with mutational profiling of colorectal and prostate cancer in clinical trials.
Markus joined NBIS in 2017. His main research interest is cancer genomics.
