Markus works as Data Steward with supporting researchers in making their research data FAIR, i.e. Findable, Accessible, Interoperable and Reusable. Before joining NBIS in 2020, he worked with data management and systems development at the Swedish Museum of Natural History. With a training in evolutionary biology and botany, Markus is passionate about integrating data in bioinformatics with data generated through biodiversity studies.
