Estelle has a PhD in bioinformatics from Trinity College Dublin, Ireland, working on yeast genome evolution. She then moved to Sweden and spent 2 years in Lund University and SLU Alnarp. She was employed by PlantLink, a research network in the area of plant sciences in the south of Sweden, and provided bioinformatics support to several research groups (mainly on de novo transcriptome assembly). Estelle joined NBIS in 2012, first in short-term support (part-time) and since 2014 in long-term support. During this time she has mainly worked with RNA-seq analysis and de novo genome assembly in various organisms.
